Echoes of Winter
Have you ever taken a brisk winter walk, with untouched snow, crunching under your feet? That feeling of calmness & tranquillity surrounds you as you venture further into your winter walk.
What does the feeling of winter echo to you?
Echoes of Winter was captured close to Johnson Canyon on the 1A highway, just outside of Banff. I had come across a patch of pure white aspens and I happily set out for the day on foot in search of the purest and whitest aspens in the grove. It was a chilly morning therefore I had my hood up, my gloves on and was in my own little world while walking through the snow.
After hiking for what seemed like hours (actually 3 minutes) to finally reach this remote location (150ft from road) my efforts were rewarded with this magical scene.
