“Every year, I dedicate a 10-day trip to Jasper to pursue my next bear image. However, at the end of the trip last year, I wasn’t quite satisfied with any of my encounters. On my return home, I decided to stop at Sunwapta Falls to take in the views. Much to my surprise, the conditions aligned perfectly: the ideal level of flow around the Falls was coupled with a warm lavender glow highlighting the peaks and surrounding forest. When I reflect on this evening, I’m reminded to embrace every moment.

After all, life is about the journey, not the destination.”

Upon revisiting the Falls, I developed a new appreciation for the moss growth and the fallen timbers across Proxy Stream. These changes added new dimensions and perspectives to the waterfall and offered me a renewed sense of connection and reacquaintance.”
